Last Day of School
I made a few printable activities to help my kids celebrate their last day of school. There are free coloring pages, a banner, and some fun cupcake toppers. Everything is free to download below. Hope it can be useful and fun for your kids too!
Feel free to download, print the grade you need, and save the rest for future years. My kids love coloring. My youngest two like to color in the morning after breakfast to start their day. It helps them to wake up and have better focus. My oldest two like to color after school while they wait for dinner. It helps them to settle down and unwind after a long day. They all enjoy helping me to decorate for special occasions by hanging up their coloring. These coloring pages also make great photo props and can help capture what your child looks like on their last day of school through the years.
My kindergartener brought a pile to school to share with her class. This page also captures the whimsical feel of the last few days of school. My kids love making (and flying) paper airplanes. We crafted a bunch out of an inexpensive pack of construction paper to hang up everywhere to continue this theme and decorate for today. When decorating, I always like to have a few repeating motifs. It helps keep everything looking more finished and cohesive.
A banner always makes things festive, fun, and can really set the mood of a room. This file is best printed out onto cardstock, cut, hole punched on top, and hung with ribbon, yarn, or twine for a quick and easy decoration to help your child celebrate their last day of school. I used chalkboard font to make the banner as I thought it sounded very fitting.
This file is best printed out onto cardstock, given to your kids to color, or left in black and white. You can also have your kids cut them out (my preschooler really enjoys her scissor practice) or use a 2 inch circle punch then adhere them to a toothpick with a little scotch tape. I plan on baking these cupcakes to go with them. I often will use printable cupcake toppers and adhere them to strips of cardstock to decorate water bottles and to create utensil wraps. They also make great large table confetti.
