Here is how we pulled it off using simple supplies, little expense, and not much time (as it was in the middle of the week on a school day). I also made some free printables that are free to download below. Hoping these ideas and printables can be fun for your kids too! Decorations: I made simple cutouts of Dr. Seuss’ silly fish out of colored poster board and hung them up all over our…

I hope your kids enjoy them! This file is best printed out onto white cardstock and given to your child to color, decorate, then cut and either stapled, taped, or glued to create a festive crown to wear. I like to lay out a chip tray…

Hoping these ideas and printables can also help you to celebrate your favorite doctor, future doctor, or healthcare worker. Decorations: I made these Snellen inspired eye charts to place around the house to decorate. There are some free editable versions that you can find online, however I wanted a thicker font and more control over where each letter was placed as well as a border so I made my own. My husband doesn’t exactly go by Dr.…

My youngest recently turned two and we celebrated with a small but fun Sesame Street birthday party. This was the fourth Sesame Street birthday party that I have created for my kids and it was a bit bittersweet for me as it will likely be my last. There is just something about Elmo and all of his friends that has captivated all of my children around the age of two making it just a perfect theme for a toddler birthday. Here is how I pulled it off using simple supplies, little expense, and not much time. I also made some printable craft activities for my daughter as well as a…

Fall is officially here! Recently we had the opportunity to visit a local farm and enjoyed a great time picking out a variety of apples and pumpkins. I made some pool noodle apples and pumpkins with the kids to extend our fun at home and wanted to share this simple craft as well as all the learning fun we have completed using them. These pool noodles apples were so simple and inexpensive to make. They require minimal supplies. You only need pipe cleaners, straws, and a pool noodle. Using a knife and cutting board, I sliced up a red pool noodle and poked a hole on top for the kids…
