Super Bowl LVI Printables for Kids
Super Bowl LVI is coming up this weekend! Whether you are gearing up to root for the Bengals or the Rams or are just really looking forward to the food (my husband) and commercials (my kids), here are some printable activities I recently made so the kids can join in the fun as well.
This file includes six pages of coloring fun. Kids can color signs for the team they are rooting for and hang to display for game day. They can review a little geography, finding and coloring in the Bengals’ and Rams’ home states as well as learn their roman numerals 1-56.
My kids also made more articulated football player puppets from the template that I created last year. They are available to download here along with some more coloring fun.
These puppets are best printed out onto white cardstock, given to your child to color then cut out.
This is what all the pieces look like all cut out.
You will need a small hole puncher or sharpened pencil to poke holes through all the spots marked with an X. Then attach small paper fasteners or mini brads so the puppets can shake their heads, kick, pass the football, and hydrate. Their water bottles and football will need to be glued on.
Googly eyes are always a fun addition as well as number stickers for their jerseys or simply colored pencils, markers, or crayons to decorate the players’ game day uniforms. My kids enjoyed drawing in different expressions for their players as well as making up different numbers for their jerseys. This was also a great exercise for them to work on writing double digit numbers as they sometimes still reverse them.
I create more printable activities for kids here with the goal of helping to grow kids who love to learn.
If you get a chance to make these articulated football player puppets or use these coloring pages, I would love to see it! Please use #sodangfun on social media, tag me @sodangfun on Instagram, or post to my Facebook page.
Hope your kids enjoy this and hope you have a wonderful Super Bowl Sunday!
