Thanksgiving Decorations Kids Can DIY
Today I wanted to share with you three printables I have made to help my kids decorate our home for Thanksgiving. My kids love all holidays and really enjoy helping me to change up our house decor for all the seasons. There is a Happy Thanksgiving coloring banner, fingerprint art activity, and turkey craft template that can be used for a variety of crafts. Hope they can help to add some calm and festive charm to your home as well!
This file is best printed out onto white cardstock. Two acorns print per page. Kids can be offered crayons, pens, or even paint. The wide outlines are very forgiving for little hands to cut out and also provide for good scissor practice. The acorns need to be just hole punched on top at two sides, then strung up with ribbon, yarn, or twine as an easy way to decorate for Thanksgiving.
My kids chose to use watercolor paint to make their banners. This was surprisingly low mess and helped to occupy all four of them happily. As a bonus they were very proud to see it on display in our dining room all ready for Thanksgiving day.
I made this simple printable featuring a bare fall tree and added some text to capture this year’s Thanksgiving. I printed this template out onto white cardstock and offered my kids a tray filled with acrylic paint in fall colors. My kids went to town creating leaves on their fall trees with their fingers. This is a fun way to capture a little piece of them in time.
Lastly I created this turkey craft template that can be used in so many ways. As we had an abundance of beautiful leaves around, my kids decided to use leaves to make Turkey feathers but this same printable can also be used with construction paper for torn paper art, or also with paint and little fingers. The possibilities are really endless! After kids glue or paint on their turkey feathers, they can color in their turkeys, and display for Thanksgiving. Hope your kids enjoy!

Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more
than just your articles? I mean, what you say
is important and all. Nevertheless imagine if you added some great pictures or videos
to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and video
clips, this blog could certainly be one
of the greatest in its field. Amazing blog!
