Fall Activities for Kids
Happy fall! Though the leaves on our trees haven’t yet begun to change and the weather still is pretty warm, (we are actually expecting a heat wave this week), we have started some fall activities. I wanted to share two printables I recently made to help my kids decorate our home for fall. My kids really enjoy helping me to get our house ready for all the seasons. There is a Happy Fall coloring banner as well as a fall tree template that can be used in a variety of ways. We also created trees out of gingerbread dough, baked and frosted them, then added Fruity Pebbles cereal as leaves…

Princess Kitty Birthday
Our middle daughter recently turned seven and requested a birthday party based on her current favorite book series, Itty Bitty Princess Kitty by Melody Mews. The stories feature an endearing kitty named Itty who lives in Lollyland with her parents and is best friends with a unicorn, butterfly, and bunny. There are thirteen books in the series so far with a fourteenth one set for release early next year. The books navigate many topics in regard to friendship, how to treat others, and be true to yourself. It also features grumpy fairies, mermaids who sing the time, and magical places where treats grow on trees. It’s no wonder these books…

Bird Nest Paper Craft
Today I wanted to share a simple spring craft for kids. All you need are some paper bowls, construction paper in green and brown, and the template that is free to download below. My kids really enjoyed making their own unique birds, eggs, and nests. I hope your kids will enjoy this too! First invite kids to paint their bowls. We used acrylic paint in nutmeg brown. In an effort to be more mindful of our environment, we purchased these compostable bowls to paint. After the paint is dried, kids can then glue on strips of brown construction paper and paper leaves to add more texture and interest to their…

Bunny Crafts and Games
With Easter this weekend, I wanted to share some simple bunny themed crafts and games. Hope they can be helpful and fun for your kids! This file is best printed out onto regular printer paper, given to kids to color, cut, then paste onto toilet paper rolls. The pattern should fit onto standard toilet paper rolls but if you buy the ginormous toilet paper rolls from Costco, you will need to trim the ends. There are bunny feet included that you cut, fold, and paste to the bottom of the toilet paper roll or you could keep it really simple and just make bunnies without feet. We used this template…
