Sharing some low prep, last minute printables and crafts for the fourth. Hope they can be helpful and fun to you and your family as you get ready to celebrate Independence Day!

The USA birthday cake is available for free download here.

My kids love coloring. It’s calming, therapeutic, and fun. We always make sure to have a coloring corner in our home as well as some sort of coloring activity set up at all of our gatherings. Simply add a tray of crayons, markers, and stickers, and you are set!

I found star shaped plates at the Dollar Tree and purchased a few packs. I cut out the center star and covered the back side with clear packaging tape. You could also use clear contact paper. I laid out a chip tray filled with cut up pieces of red and blue tissue paper and aluminum foil. I even took this setup to add to the kids’ table at my sister-in-law’s Fourth of July party. This was a very quick, inexpensive, and easy craft to set up and enjoyed by kids of various ages. The suncatchers also look really pretty hung up in windows.

This was a wonderful, low cost, and fun activity for our family. I just gave my kids toilet paper and paper towel rolls, and some acrylic paint in red, white, and blue. They went to town creating their own stars, stripes, and patterns. They also enjoyed dabbing their fingers to decorate. I then glued cut up red and white striped straws and pieces from a silver tinsel garland leftover from Christmas to create the rest of the fireworks. This is similar to the fireworks we made for New Year’s earlier this year.

These paper hats are available here and make a fun wearable craft that doubles as a cute photo prop. I really enjoy looking back and seeing how my kids have grown over the years wearing their patriotic hats, turkey hats, leprechaun hats, etc.

This was another activity I brought for the kids’ table at my sister-in-law’s annual Fourth of July party. My kids always enjoy helping me to make sugar cookies for all their birthdays and holidays. It is inexpensive, delicious, and leaving them out to decorate doubles as a fun group activity. I used this recipe for the cookies. We bake all the time as a family so I actually had all these ingredients and different colored sprinkles so didn’t have to go out and buy anything to set this up.

Lastly, I made this simple banner that is free to download for personal use. It is best printed out onto white cardstock, cut, and hung with ribbon, yarn, or twine. We used red yarn. I love decorating with banners as they are a super inexpensive and quick way to add some festive fun to a space.
