Election Pins and Campaign Posters

Today my kids have the day off from school for the midterm elections. I created some printable election pins and campaign posters for them. For the past few months they have been curious as we have seen so many campaign signs and also have received many political fliers in the mail. I thought it would be fun for them to have a chance to make their own pitch and campaign slogans. They are all available to download for free below. Hope they can be fun for your family or classroom to complete as well.

The election pins are best printed out onto white cardstock for more durability. The kids wrote their names on them with a black Sharpie in the white rectangular space. We cut them out and used double sided tape to adhere them to our clothes and my kids wore them all day. I enjoyed wearing my Vote Mom for Sheriff button too.

The campaign posters are best printed out onto regular paper. Your kids can choose what they want to run for, draw their self portrait, and write about why they would be the best candidate for that position. This is a great activity for kids to work on persuasive writing as well as to learn more about who runs in our midterm elections and what they do.
