    Christmas Crafts for Kids

Happy Holidays! Today I wanted to share three simple crafts that my kids have enjoyed making this season. They all take minimal preparation, inexpensive supplies, and were enjoyed tremendously by my kids ages 2-9. Hope they can help to add a little peace and joy to your family as well! This file is best printed out onto regular paper and used as a template to create pool noodle snowflakes. Simply slice a white pool noodle into approximately 1 inch diameter discs using a knife and cutting board. Place your pool noodle onto the center circle in the template and make slits where each line intersects the circle. Your child can…

This file is best printed out onto white cardstock and given to your child to color, embellish as desired, cut out, and staple together to form a turkey hat. Feel free to print the ages you need and save the rest for future years. Making paper hats and coloring are two activities my kids really enjoy plus they also…

    Military Puppets Craft

Happy Veterans Day! Today we honor all the dedicated heroes to whom we owe our freedom. I made some printable military puppets to help my kids observe today and to also help them to learn more about the different branches of our military. This file is best printed out onto regular paper, given to your child to color, cut, and paste onto toilet paper rolls to create their own puppet heroes. You can add googly eyes or challenge your child to draw in different facial expressions. The six puppet templates included (in no particular order) feature the uniforms of the United States Marines, new Space Force, Army, Air Force, Navy,…

    Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day! Today we celebrate all the super dads who help guide, teach, and provide for us! I made a free coloring sheet as well as a writing activity for the kids to complete for their special dad. Everything is free to download below. When you think about it, dads (like moms) have a lot in common with superheroes. They work hard, are pretty strong, and are all around very amazing people. Dads are the real life heroes your children look up to and depend on. Feel free to download and print off as many copies as you need. My kids always like to hang up a few to…

Happy Memorial Day! Today we honor all the brave men and women who have died serving our great country. The kids are all out of school. Warmer weather is finally here. Everyone loves this long weekend filled with grilled foods, family time, and outdoor play. I made a few printable activities to help the kids celebrate and observe this day. There is a free coloring page, patriotic cutouts you can use to create an easy sensory bin and kids’ necklace craft, as well as a skip counting flag for kids to get a jump start on some summer math fun. Hope you all enjoy! Memorial Day makes me think of…

    Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day! Today we celebrate all the super moms who have helped to bring us into this world, raise, nurture, guide, teach, and provide for us! I made a free coloring sheet as well as writing activity for the kids to complete for their special mom. Everything is free to download below. When you think about it, moms have a lot in common with superheroes. They work hard and are constantly saving lives (I can’t tell you how many times I have had to pry Legos and coins from my kids’ mouths). They can be available at a moment’s notice, multi-task efficiently, and are always maintaining peace. In your…

    Easter

Are your kids getting excited for Easter? To say my kids are excited would be an understatement. They love waking up to see what the Easter bunny left in their baskets for them. After quickly eating their special breakfast (usually bunny shaped pancakes), they race around the house inside and out, hunting for plastic eggs filled with treats. I like to save all these plastic eggs for later use as they make great scoopers for sensory play and can be used in so many ways to help my kids with their math and literacy skills. We’ve written sight words on them for my kindergartener to find. We’ve filled them with…
